Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using ProtectAffiliate (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding contract between you and ProtectAffiliate.

2. What ProtectAffiliate does

ProtectAffiliate monitors affiliate links that you provide or that we discover from sources you connect. We alert you by email when we detect that a link is broken, geo-blocked, out of stock, or that your affiliate tracking parameter has been stripped. We provide estimates of potential revenue impact — these are estimates only and are not guarantees of actual earnings lost or recovered.

3. Your account

  • You must provide a valid email address and keep it accurate.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must not share login credentials or allow others to use your account.
  • You must be 18 or older to use the Service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Add links you do not own or have authorisation to monitor.
  • Use the Service to scrape or harvest data from third-party websites beyond what is needed for your own affiliate monitoring.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the detection rules or infrastructure.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service without written permission.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

5. Plans, billing, and refunds

  • The Free plan is free with no time limit. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance via Razorpay.
  • If a payment fails, we keep Critical-priority link protection active for 7 days as a grace period. After that, the account reverts to Free.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Existing subscriptions continue at the price at time of subscription for the current billing period.

6. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Scan SLAs (2-hour for Starter, 15-minute for Pro) are targets, not contractual guarantees. We are not liable for missed scans caused by third-party infrastructure (Zyte, Supabase, Vercel) outages.

7. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProtectAffiliate is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost affiliate revenue. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Revenue impact estimates shown in the dashboard are estimates based on data you provide. They are not a guarantee of actual losses or recovery.

8. Intellectual property

ProtectAffiliate and its detection rules, algorithms, and UI are our intellectual property. You retain ownership of your link data. You grant us a licence to process your link data solely to provide the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Danger Zone. On deletion, all your data is permanently removed.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If the change is material, we will email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
